Research Participants from Around the World

Besample helps academic researchers recruit vetted research participants and obtain research samples across 20 countries in Latin America, Africa, Asia, Eastern Europe, and Western countries.

Available participant pools include Argentina, Brazil, and Mexico in Latin America; Nigeria, Kenya, Ghana, Egypt, and South Africa in Africa; Kazakhstan, Turkey, Pakistan, India, Indonesia, the Philippines, and Japan in Asia and Central Asia; and Ukraine in Eastern Europe.

Researchers can also recruit research participants in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, and Australia when Western comparison groups are needed.

International research involves different recruitment and data-quality challenges across countries. Besample uses country-specific quality controls, informed by more than three years of experience working with non-WEIRD populations, to detect bots and fraudulent activity and monitor participant attention, engagement, and response consistency.

All respondents also pass Besample’s internal Quality Flow, which includes automated, behavioral, and technical checks.

Starting in January 2026, Besample uses Gross National Income (GNI) per capita as its primary benchmark for determining fair respondent compensation. Minimum payouts are calculated based on each country’s GNI per capita, estimated study length, and the current exchange rate. 100% of the payout goes directly to the respondent, and researchers can choose to offer higher compensation during study setup.
